A holistic doula supports a woman through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum — but goes beyond the physical. Where a traditional doula focuses primarily on the body, a holistic doula holds the whole woman — her body, her emotions, her spirit, and the sacred energy of the space around her.
At Willow & Womb, holistic support means showing up with presence that goes deeper than a checklist. It means feeling into what you need before you can find the words for it. It means honoring birth not as a medical event to be managed, but as a sacred threshold to be witnessed — with reverence, intention, and complete devotion.

Your midwife and your doula each bring something different — and both matter deeply. Your midwife is a licensed healthcare provider, responsible for the medical care of you and your baby. Your doula is trained to support you physically, emotionally, educationally, and practically — devoted to you, completely and without distraction. She holds your hand, reads your body, steadies your breath, supports your partner, and holds the energy of the room with intention. Together, your midwife and your doula are the fullest kind of care.

Bringing a child into the world is one of the most profound things you will ever do. The support you choose for that season matters more than most people realize.
A friend or family member can be a beautiful presence at your birth. But love alone is not the same as training, experience, and devoted professional support. When things shift — and they always do — you need someone who has been there before. Someone who knows what to do, what to say, and when to simply be still beside you.
Doula support has been shown to reduce medical intervention, lower the risk of birth trauma, and leave women feeling more confident, prepared, and deeply cared for. But beyond the research — this is your birth. Your initiation. You deserve to be held by someone who treats it that way.
This is not an expense. It is an investment in how you enter the most sacred season of your lif

Yes to all three. Your birth setting is your choice. I meet you wherever you're birthing—home, birth center, hospital. My job stays the same: support you and your choices, honor your intuition, keep you grounded and believing in yourself.
-
Whatever you choose, I support it! My job isn't to prevent interventions. It's to make sure you're making informed decisions from your knowing, not from fear or pressure. Your autonomy matters.
-
Never. I believe in you. That means I honor whatever choices you make—epidural, induction, cesarean, unmedicated, whatever. Your autonomy. Your birth.
-
I support your partner too. I teach them comfort measures. I help them know how to support you. We work together.
-
Yes. Absolutely. Your birth plan is a starting point, not a contract. If things shift, we shift. Your intuition matters more than any plan on paper.
